Tune Protect Group Berhad (“Tune Protect” or “the Company”) takes the lead in advocating environmentally responsible actions with its latest Pay-As-You-Drive (PAYD) campaign. This is in line with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal 13: Climate Action to combat climate change and its impacts. This special PAYD campaign rewards customers who opt in for the PAYD benefit with an extra 5 BIG points for every RM1 of insurance premium in addition to the first 5 BIG points for purchasing Motor Easy (comprehensive motor insurance) through the Company’s website or mobile application.

Although greenhouse gas emissions are projected to drop about 6% in 2020 due to travel bans and economic slowdowns resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, this improvement is only temporary. Once the global economy begins to recover from the pandemic, carbon emissions are expected to return to higher levels.[1] With PAYD, Tune Protect hopes to inculcate new habits among Malaysian drivers that contribute to lowering greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere.
