Samsung Malaysia recently introduced Kim Yoonsoo as its newly appointed President. In his new role as the head of Samsung Malaysia, Kim will be responsible for leading the company’s business strategies and operations.
Kim has spent the last 19 years serving Samsung in various markets, with his most recent post being the Head of IT and Mobile of Samsung China’s Product Marketing division.
“It is an honour and a privilege to be a part of Samsung Electronics’ historic rise. Starting today, my journey with Samsung is about to get a whole lot more exciting. Malaysia is a market with great growth potential and I am excited and confident in working with the team to drive Samsung’s overall growth as the leading technology company and top workplace in Malaysia.” said Kim.
A Samsung veteran, Kim’s professional journey in Samsung began in 1998 where he assumed responsibilities in Samsung Electronics’ Mobile Business in Europe. The start of his second decade saw him serve as the IT and Mobile Division Head in Samsung Electronics Indonesia and President of Samsung Electronics Kazakhstan, before his move to China.
Kim received his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona.
